The Hon. Stephen Dawson MLC, Minister for Disability Services, recently announced the State Government will undertake a review of the eligibility criteria for an ACROD Parking Permit in Western Australia.

The ACROD Parking Program currently supports Western Australians with significant mobility restrictions to access the community by providing permits for accessible ACROD parking bays.

The Department of Communities is undertaking a review to explore the potential to expand the program’s eligibility criteria, to include more people who require access to bays with specific dimensions or proximity.

Consultation

The Department of Communities invited you to share your experience and views via a survey to help ensure any future changes to the eligibility criteria of the ACROD Parking Program are contemporary and meet the needs of the community.

The ACROD Eligibility Review survey is now closed. Thank you for participating.

Feedback was received from:

  • people with disability and/or medical conditions
  • carers, family members, support workers
  • community service providers
  • Taxi service providers.

Your responses will be used to inform the development of the Review.
