WA Seniors Week 2020 has arrived! Kicking off on Sunday 8 November, this annual event encourages people of all ages to celebrate both the contributions of older people and their active participation in community life.
WA Seniors Week is different in 2020 because of COVID-19 safe practices, with event organisers working hard to ensure events can go ahead and are COVID-safe. We want to encourage seniors to stay safe, enjoy the events on offer and be acknowledged for their priceless contributions that are enriching our communities and our lives.
Have a Go Day 2020 – A range of free activities and information will be on offer. The WA Seniors Card Centre will also have an information stall at the event. WA Seniors Card holders needing a replacement WA Seniors Card can get one there on the day. For more information about Have a Go Day 2020, visit the Seniors Recreation Council website.
Community events - Funded by Communities, several organisations are hosting 2020 WA Seniors Week events throughout November. A list of currently confirmed events can be found on COTA WA’s WA Seniors Week 2020 web page.
