On 23 September 2019, the Honourable Simone McGurk MLA, Minister for Women’s Interests launched the Women’s Report Card – a unique and comprehensive compilation of information about Western Australian women in the areas of health and wellbeing, safety and justice, economic independence and leadership.
“Having a solid understanding of how women are faring ensures evidence-based, appropriate and well targeted policy development and service delivery across government, the private sector and communities.” – Hon Simone McGurk MLA
Developed in partnership with the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre (BCEC), the report card is the sixth in a series of indicator reports, and for the first time, includes an interactive data insights platform.
Up to 100 guests gathered for the launch event, which included an expert panel discussion about how the report can contribute to positive action for women in Western Australia, as well as a data presentation by BCEC.
The report card is one of many initiatives developed to support women in Western Australia.
