For Western Australians a home is more than just a roof over their head, it is a place that they connect with on a deep and emotional level. While a home is different for everyone, it is a place that should provide both physical and emotional security.

That is why it is a priority for the Department of Communities to make sure everyone has access to a place to call home, and it is the reason the Department is leading the development of a new WA Housing Strategy 2020-2030.

The strategy will set the direction for the next 10 years, creating a more sustainable and responsive housing system for WA. The strategy will explore how we can improve access to suitable and affordable homes and respond to current and future need.

To find out about the discussion so far, and to add your voice to the planning of the new strategy, you are invited to attend the WA Housing Strategy exhibition.
