The Perth metropolitan area and the Peel and South West regions are in a 5-day lockdown effective from 6pm, Sunday 31 January 2021 until 6pm, Friday 5 February 2021.

Information on the Transition out of lockdown from 6pm, Friday 5 February is now available on the WA Government website.

The Department of Communities (Communities) will continue to provide essential services to Western Australians throughout the lockdown period.

New safety measures are in place in response to the lockdown, which means there are some changes to the delivery of our essential services within the Perth metropolitan, Peel and South West areas only..

Communities’ offices in all other regions will continue to operate as normal, with no changes to service delivery or practice (under existing COVID-19 precautions).

Communities clients can contact their regular contact person or local office as usual for any assistance relating to Communities’ services. Our general contacts page has accessible options for contacting us.

For general advice on Communities’ essential services, visit the COVID-19 page on our website. Communities will provide information regarding COVID-19 and our services to you as it becomes available. Follow us on Facebook for regular updates.
