The Perth metropolitan area and Peel region is entering a 3-day lockdown effective from midnight Friday 23 April (with masks in use from 6pm) until 12:01am Tuesday 27 April 2021.

The Department of Communities (Communities) will continue to provide essential services to Western Australians throughout the lockdown period.

New safety measures are in place in response to the lockdown, which means there are may be changes to the delivery of our essential services within the Perth metropolitan and Peel areas only, including undertaking contact visits remotely.

Communities’ offices in all other regions will continue to operate as normal, with no changes to service delivery or practice (under existing COVID-19 precautions).

Communities clients can contact their regular contact person or local office as usual for any assistance relating to Communities’ services. Our general contacts page has accessible options for contacting us.

For general advice on Communities’ essential services, visit the COVID-19 page on our website. Communities will provide information regarding COVID-19 and our services to you as it becomes available.
