Carers Week runs from 15-21 October with a number of events being held around the State to raise awareness of carers, the caring role and relationships, and the carer supports and services available.

In support of Carers Week, the Department of Communities, in partnership with the Carers Advisory Council and Nulsen Disability Services, will host a free screening of On Richard’s Side: Thirty Years. One Story. Time to Care, on Monday 16 October 2017.

This film documents the life of Richard, a young man with a complex disability since birth, providing an insight into his parents’ quest to establish a quality life for their son and themselves.

The film will be held at Cygnet Cinema, 16 Preston Street, Como. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. To register, please go to https://www.trybooking.com/SAZN
