These annual reports have been designed to make it accessible to as many people as possible. As a result, the report mainly uses 12pt font – the accessible minimum standard – which makes the document length greater than usual, and ensures that people with vision impairment and people who use screen readers are able to access it. Should an alternate format be required, this can be provided upon request by emailing email@example.com.
The Disability Services Act 1993 requires all local government and selected State Government agencies to develop a plan to assist in the promotion of access and inclusion of people with a disability. This is our first DAIP as the Department of Communities and builds on the progress and achievements of the former agencies. It provides the framework for the implementation of strategies and initiatives to ensure people with disability are supported to have the same opportunities as others to access our services, facilities and information.
