Refugee Week
Refugee Week 2012 (17–23 June)
Restoring Hope
Refugee Week is Australia's peak annual activity to inform the public about refugees and celebrate the positive contributions made by refugees to Australian society.
The Department for Communities (Communities) has organised an art exhibition as part of Refugee Week since 2008. The project involves engaging with targeted schools and organisations that work with students from refugee and migrant backgrounds to develop different art pieces that depict their experience as refugees or settling in a new country.
For Refugee Week 2012, Communities would like to encourage and invite additional schools to participate in this project.
To get involved, please see the flyer. |
