The Office for Youth supports the development of young people’s emotional, mental and physical well being. We want young people to be healthy, safe, connected with their communities and recognised for their achievements.
All young people are different – in their views, backgrounds and life experiences.
- The Office for Youth (OfY) leads and assists the development of State Government policies and programs that encourage young people's participation and contribution to the WA community. We do this by:
- working with Commonwealth and State Government agencies to influence decisions and the design of services to support young people in WA
- running projects and programs that promote positive images of young people
- collaborating with and funding other agencies to produce resources on key youth issues
- holding consultations with young people and other youth stakeholders to determine emerging issues and trends, and
- collaborating with young people on creative solutions to emerging issues and trends.
