Community Services Minister Robyn McSweeney MLC presents Ms Leah Middleton
with a Parenting WA Guides Aboriginal pack. The Minister launched the 'Guiding
our children, our way' parenting resources written for Aboriginal families by Aboriginal
people at an Aboriginal Best Start playgroup morning tea for NAIDOC Week celebrations.
‘Guiding our children, our way’ is a set of 12 Parenting WA Guides which have been written for and by Aboriginal people. The guides cover the following topics:

4 – Identity
5 – Family togetherness
6 – Families that work well
7 – Step families
8 – Grandparents
9 – Storytelling
10 – Coping skills for our kids
11 – Kids grieve too
