Funding of up to $2000 is available for community organisations to celebrate Grandparents Day, which will be held on Sunday, 28 October 2012. Organisations may apply for a Grandparent grant in order to host an event to thank and recognise grandparents for the valuable role that they play in our society by offering care and guidance to their children and grandchildren. It is recommended that a range of different community groups be involved in the celebration event. Please note that proposed activities or events are to be held on Sunday, 28 October 2012.
