The Department of Local Government and Communities is the Youth Participation Sponsor at this year’s National Youth Health Conference in Fremantle, 13–15 November 2013.
The National Youth Health Conference is being organised by the Australian Association for Adolescent Health (AAAH). More information about the conference can be found at www.youthhealthconference.com.au
Are you a young person aged between 12 and 25? Do you have a keen interest in adolescent health and want to make sure the voices of young people are heard by health professionals at the National Youth Health Conference? We are looking for adolescents or young health professionals from all over WA to help out at the conference, get involved and represent young people in a fun and positive light. Just tell us:

The Alcohol. Think Again Parents, Young People and Alcohol Campaign, is a joint initiative of the Drug and Alcohol Office, the McCusker Centre for Action on Alcohol and Youth and the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research to give parents and young people important information and tools to make informed choices about delaying initiation to alcohol use. The project has been part -funded by Healthway Health Promotion grant funding.
‘Our Youth—Our Future’ is the Western Australian Government’s commitment to young people. For the first time, a whole of government structured framework has been developed to guide youth programs and service planning in an integrated way into the future. ‘Our Youth—Our Future’ also recognises existing strategic approaches for providing services and programs to young people and the importance of government working in partnership with the non-government sector to support young people.

As a member of The Panel, you will get the opportunity to share your views directly with government agencies and organisations.
