The Hon Robyn McSweeney MLC, Minister for Child Protection; Community Services; Seniors and Volunteering; Women's Interests, will be hosting in Perth the screening of the National Apology to the Forgotten Australians and former child migrants. The Prime Minister will be apologising, on behalf of the nation, to more than 500,000 Australians - many of whom suffered abuse and neglect while in out-of-home care last century - at a formal remembrance ceremony to be held at Parliament House, Canberra.
The National Apology will be screened in the gardens of Government House at 8:00am on Monday 16 November 2009. The entrance to the function area, on Terrace Road.

The gates to Government House will open at 7.30am, guests will be asked to assemble at 7.45am for an 8.00am start.
At the entrance gates, attendees will be directed to the seating area.
