The WA Youth Awards were established in 1999 to recognise outstanding young Western Australians aged 12 to 25 years. They honour the hard work and dedication of young people, youth workers and youth-led groups throughout WA.
In 2013 the WA Youth Awards are proudly presented by the Department for Communities in partnership with the Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia. The awards are supported by Lotterywest.
The seven award categories cover a range of fields, including the arts; education; the environment; community service; and sport and recreation.
